Default Technology and leadership

The ubiquitous nature of data and technology, which transforms every soldier and pilot into a node in a network-centric environment, is irreparably changing existing leadership models for the military.

First, I'd like to give a round of applause to the gentleman who blatantly spammed this forum with and irrelevant comment and signature, thus wasted everyone's time.

That said, I trackposted the article to my own site, www.themadpigeon.com. Here's an excerpt of my commentary:

"...what happens when the senior heirarchy gets plugged in or the junior heirarchy gets to flat? Either the seniors micromanage to the detriment of tactical flexibility, or the juniors lose sight of the broader mission objectives and can't act through all the networked noise. Me? I'll take flags, mirror and smoke signal communication over a commander electronically tapping my shoulder from 1,000 miles away or a radio network flooded by chatter any day."
Much obliged,
