Default They also serve

Like all wars before it, the Long War has demanded a high toll from families of the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines fighting it. And, as in previous wars, family members have learned to lean upon one another and their friends for comfort and strength during trying times.

Default Enjoyed the article....

Thank-you for printing this article. I've never felt a closer connection with women that I don't even know in person....than now. Only blogging has enabled this. Our family has been through multiple deployments in the past, has had a few years of "rest" while my husband had a desk job and are about to be back in the thick of things again with a combat unit (which will spend time deployed again).

I get lots of emails from young wives who don't know what to expect, and my whole purpose with my blog is to try to make their lives somewhat easier and to give them a place to go when they aren't sure what to do next.

thanks again,
